What is your opinion on fabric ductwork and the longevity??

What is your opinion on fabric ductwork and the longevity??

Seems like flex ducts are what is used these days.  I still like the old sheet metal ducts.  I suppose they have drawbacks, too--expensive, takes a lot of work to fit, seal, etc.  Longevity, I have no idea since I don't have them in my house.  I wonder if you are given an option nowadays.

they are easy to work with and look good from the outside i'd say, better than metal vents i think

i don't have fabric, but i think they will last and provide great ventilation

Both are good for heating, but fabric doesn't sweat under air conditioning.
