What about scholars and foreign students that come here to seek a higher education?!Are they uplifting and helping our society progress or only benefiting themselves?!

This country was not built on come here have a kid and live off the usa, i say h**l no.but if they want to become an american then get the right paper work and deal with it or get off your lazy butts and make a deal with the us army or any service and earn your strips,some say they come from the boarder like a cancer and will try to over take some states like calif,texas and so on till they get voting rights or something like that and to top this off they want us to change the english to spanish ?? i say BS, if i go to another country should i not learn  how they speak ?so i will not be to closed minded on this. but a free ride and want to take over, i say no way to this.

Yes everyone should be allowed to come to the US, if not, people will imigrate to the US ilegally. Life in some countries are bad and people are looking for a way out, since its impossible to immigrate to the US legally they just sneak in and buy a fake social security number and they are good.

Well, no I don't believe that we should always let anyone who wants to come here into the country.. However for the 12+ million people who are already here and who have been well behaved, I think at least half of them should be given a path to citizenship. If they will pay a fine and can prove that they have never been arrested or received government services we should not deport them. Since they have already been here for years and haven't caused problems then we should give them a chance.

The key word is "illegal."

I have no problem with immigrants coming to America, if they do so legally.  When someone enters this country illegally, they are breaking our laws and are, by definition, criminals.  No nation should welcome criminals into their midst.

I would like to see business licenses taken away from any business that hires illegal immigrants.  I don't, for one moment, buy the argument that they are doing jobs that Americans won't do.  The truth is that Americans won't do those jobs for the slave wages that the businesses pay the illegal immigrants.

I would like to see the automatic citizenship dropped for babies born in this country.  That is the incentive for many illegal immigrants to come here.  We should do what France does.  They don't offer citizenship to an immigrant child born there until the child reaches the age of 18.

If an illegal immigrant seeks care at an emergency room, the hospital should treat them and then turn them over to the police.

employers that pay $5 an hour to an illegal for a job that should pay $12 an hour are not only bad for the economy, but bad for the nation.  You can thank illegal for keeping wages low and employers rich. Very little of that savings from cheap labor trickles down to the end consumer.

Well, if they are allowed here, then they wouldn't be illegal immigrants, and I am for legalizing the ones that are already here with no criminal records.

Even as illegals, they are paying taxes, and contributing to the economy. Allow them to receive an education, then they will be even bigger contributors to this country, and it would be a positive thing.
