What is your opinion on net curtains?

Thanks for your answers so far, I'm thinking of putting my house on the market and needed to know what others thought

i think it makes your house look common, there are so many different types of blinds you need never own a net curtain again, it was different years ago when everybody had them except the rich but now we can all afford to get decent blinds made. i just think it makes the house looks like it has elderly owners.

I used to hate them but then I moved into a property where I desperately needed them for privacy in the bedroom (my bedroom window was at pavement level - far from ideal!).

True there are some awful some ones out there! But there are also tasteful ones too, in various colours and modern designs.

And as long as you regular wash them to avoid them getting grimey then they will look fine!

voile curtians are fine, but net curtains are terrible

I used to hate them and they can look really bad if they are ugly patterened ones...but now that I have a home decorated in an antique/vintage style I like them...as long as they are plain they look pretty and floaty...

I dont like them..i hate it when you get condensation on your window and they get all wet and dirty eurgh. I have blinds at my flat much better!

crisp n white,i just got new ones after having blinds for last 4 years,that you cant seem to keep clean. so back to my nets, they never date .

they are'nt very nice, that sort of design is much better on a table or something, even then they are a bit drab

i think they're horrible. they never look clean and theres always dead things in them and dust, unless they are washed nearly every day.

blinds are the way forward.

in general i dont like them but in some caes can be very nice.

In my opinion I don't like them. We used to have them years back, but I do think that they really are outdated now.
