The pursuit of happiness is an inward journey. Our minds are like programs, awaiting the code that will determine behaviors; like bank vaults awaiting our deposits. If we regularly deposit positive, encouraging, and uplifting thoughts, if we continue to bite our lips just before we begin to grumble and complain, if we shoot down that seemingly harmless negative thought as it germinates, we will find that there is much to rejoice about. 1. I think it's awesome, a really powerful thing.  We are what we think, if we only think good thought we can only be good really.  I have a website that is all about this.  you might find it interesting, there are some good links there too.  Have a look.

    good luck

  2. Positive thinking isn't magical as many self-help videos and books suggest, but, in general, trying to be happy and not depressed helps you succeed.

  3. ok , this is what i think.

if you only think of the positive outcome in every situation, then thats the only type of thinking you need to do.

just work hard and stay focused and think positive in every challenge that heads your way, as long as you tried your very best, there is nothing else you could have done.

if you think negative your always gonna have that negative thought in the back of your head.

    stay focused and stay positive.

    no matter the situation.

im a perfect example, im 21.

i have 3 boys all under the age of 3.

i dont see one d**n negative thing about it.

i have a great job, im married, 3 healthy beautiful boys and i have my entire life ahead of me to watch my kids grow up and im will still be old enough to play with them.

    stay positive.

  4. Well it doesn't hurt and might help but I was told that it is not the life you

live but the courage you bring to it.  I am sure all those Iraqis right before

shock and awe hit them were thinking real positive thoughts and prayers

including those mystics who ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time or maybe it was the right place and time--It is a good day to die?

I like your point about happiness being an inward journey.  Abe Lincoln who had plenty to be sad about his whole life said that people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.  That was what helped to make him the greatest President of the US in my book.  It didn't keep John Wilkes Booth from blowing his head off, however, in Lincoln's  greatest hour.

  5. My gosh, you said it all. I have had to deal with negative thinking all my life. I would just worry myself to a frinzy. For awhile now I have been listening alot to Joel Osteen. He speaks alot about our thoughts and what we speak into our lives with our own mouth. I have learned so much and have grown in this area. I still battle with it but I have to stop myself and remember all I have learned.  I am doing alot better with this and thank The Lord for speaking thru Joel to help me and countless others I'm sure.
