I honestly like the second one a lot more.  I think the first one has way too much going on--it looks like it was designed by a committee.  From your description, it seems like you have a great figure so you would look good in either dress, but I think the second is so much more elegant!

I think it's a gorgeous dress--I love most of the Maggie line.  However, I don't know how the dress looks on YOU--and that's the important issue here.  What you need to do is find a bridal salon that carries the Maggie line (lots do--the one I work at does) and when you call the make the appointment, ask if they have that particular style in stock for you to try on.  If they don't have that one--I promise you they have one that's very similar to it, very few stores have a copy of EVERY Maggie dress in their stock.  Remember, that dress in the photo is on a model, who is about a size 2 or 4 and probably at least 5'8"--and then the photo is photoshopped to make the dress look its absolute best.  If you're 5'4" and a size 14, it's going to look VERY different on you.  It may look great, but it may not, and the only way to tell that is to actually try it on.  Good luck!

but if you want the traditional white im sure it would look great as well.

The first dress is absolutely beautiful. Another woman on here is having that dress and as soon as I saw it I fell in love with is.

I'm not a big fan of the back pick-ups, but I also like much simpler dresses.  The front is very pretty, though.

I do love Maggies (I wore one for my own wedding).  If it makes you feel beautiful when you try it on, go for it!

I really love the first one, particularly the lace.  I would be interested in seeing the back treatment in person.  I am not as big a fan of the second one.  Maggie Sottero does great work.   I'm getting my dress through her.
