  1. They (the oil companies) should explore and develop both areas responsiibly.

  2. I live here, and I say drill it.  Times like this when the d**n gas is up to $5 a gallon is ridiculous when we are sitting on a large amount of supply.  Yes it wont stop us from being complete Dependant on other countries, but every little bit counts.  Our economy is in a slump, people cant buy homes, or sell.  The amount of jobs this will open up will help  out so much up here.   If done in a smart manner, with all safety precautions in place, this would be a major asset to our country.

Environment freaks complain about killing off endangered animals, yet these are the same people driving land rovers and Hummers up here to go check if the local polar bears are breeding.  Makes no d**n sense to me.

  3. Drill it out!

  4. We have been drilling and pumping oil up here in Alaska since 1977. The wildlife are just fine with the pipeline. We simply don't have enough oil to satisfy the needs and wants of the USA. Gas today in Palmer, AK was $4.45 and diesel $5.45. Yes to drilling in ANWR.

  5. Back when the OCS was made off limits it was because environmentalists made everyone afraid that a hurricane in the Gulf would wipe them out and create a huge spill. Well, guess what? They have had numerous hurricanes go through there over the last several years and the oil rigs came through okay. So they now have a proven safety record. Each state should be allowed to decide for themselves whether they want to drill off their coast or not.

As far as ANWR the section they want to drill in is only a small portion of it and it is not the beautiful terrain being shown in the anti-ANWR propaganda. The U.S. bought Alaska for it's natural resources now they want to ignore it? Why should we have the Feds telling us we can't touch our own oil? Plus a larger percentage of Alaskans are all for it too. I'm all for it.
