What is your perception of Australia...?

Okay, this is a bit of a strange question, but what is your perception of Australia and Aussie people (if you're not Aussie)!

Do you think we all say 'G'day Mate' to greet each other and have pet kangaroos??

I dont think you all say "G'Day...but maybe alot more than another country....

Generalising is not really fair but first impressions are that Aussie people are loud and outspoken ,sometimes confident to the point of being irritating.........but thats just one perception....and only my opinion...........

I think its like anywhere in the world for every annoying person theres always someone else who is not.....

I loved Melbourne when I was there and its people were really friendly and welcoming.......though friends in Brisbane thought I was nuts to go there........( just figured why go to the other coast to hear them all bragging about themselves...lol)

I'm from California...I don't think of you saying G'Day Mate or having pet Kangaroos any more than you  think we all live next door to Movie Stars and Hang out at the Beach all day every day (just on the weekends) and we Hardly EVER have BBQ'S with Brad and Angelina, it's been weeks since they have been over...I mean not since the Twins have they been here...lol

Ya can leave me outta tha pet roo's mate,had'em when we was kids,the does are ok but the bucks are more than dangerous if your not careful,I am an Aussie and now living OS and I couldnt resist lol

Its more of a personal thing...us Aussies are usually proud of what we are and what we've made ourselves...its more...its hard to explain. We've set ourselves out to be different, and we work to achieve that I guess.
