  1. The clothes are not really the problem...our imagination is. The body is interpreted sexually and with the shrinking of moral standards the interpretation has grown even more depraved. The reason most do not object to naked children is simply because we do not interpret their nudity sexually but unfortunately that too is changing rapidly. To change perception we must first correct our mindset.

  2. I think it is not only the problem among Muslims as you said.. Many people try to show some part of their bodies but they are simply not concerning for us.. We should warn them if we are uncomfortable with their such kind of behaviour and if we are not, we should stay calm and quiet.. As i said, Muslim people are trying hard to keep in step with the developing society (actually with people who forget value judgment and who forget that they are human!).. Everybody wants to manipulate others but they are actually under the manipulation of mass media or whatever you call it! Anyhow we should turn to what we were before as a society and then try to judge others.. But real Muslims are going on their way as it is expected from them... Are we living in this world just on the real world of our notions, or are we trying to misguide people about the truth? For me, we should answer to this question first..

  3. It's a see-saw effect, you see. The scales must balance out.

Clothing often reflects the values of the society that wears it. Stricter senses of clothing can indicate a strong religious upbringing or other reasons for wearing such clothing.

It comes down to personal responsibility to wear the clothing, however, and what is considered "trendy" changes from one day to the next. Anyone that has tracked such trends in the past finds that the market moves much more swiftly now than it ever did. Mass marketing, name-branding, and mass production have all gone into that.

    Fashion is tricky business, certainly.

  4. The clothes that are able to capture its designated functionality for protection, presentation,... should last for a long time. In today's world, due to the high intensity of consumerism and commercialism, the truth of value of life has been gradually changed and even distorted. As a result, what people like and want does not necessarily reflect what people really need.  Consequently, the outside world control you and you lose your autonomy and independence in conducting your life. Based on this understanding, a person can enact to regain the happiness of living a controlled realistic life.

  5. I am not a prudish women, let me get that straight.  Nudity is fine by me, on a beach or in some-one's home - but, when I see some of the outfits worn to Premiere's and Oscar Ceremonies I think, enough is enough. Some of the so-called dresses leave nothing much to the imagination and they demean and trivialise women.

I can understand why Muslims living in the UK are alarmed and worried, especially if they think we all condone what we see.
