  1. Whether climate change is caused by humans or not is debateable. However, human nature being what it is means that over time, ALL of our finite minerals, oil, coal and other natural resources will be extracted and used for our use. Fortunately, we cannot destroy water but the Earth's population explosion makes it seem that there is less of it to go around. We will become so desperate for raw materials that nothing will stop us from acquiring them...even by force. What else is news? It just makes us feel warm and fuzzy to try and save our planet.!! Enjoy life while you can.

  2. It's pretty difficult to have any kind of reaction to something that does NOT exist!   Al Gore, the publicity seeking person that he is, created the term.  That being stated; it still doesn't mean anything.  It's like all the liberals suddenly believing that the moon surely must be made of cheese!   Just because somebody makes a claim does not make it a fact!   That is exactly what has happened here.   God has complete control over what happens on planet Earth.

  3. No reaction to global warming, the hype that it generated is the issue most are reacting to.  Should we all be good steward of the earth we live on?  Yes, however I see global warming more has a tool to force people to live their lives the way to be determined by another group.

  4. I believe it to be true..and you?

  5. Cant wait hurricans moving upward from Mexico to tropical California, so land get wetter.

  6. i think it's terrible, & people need to be doing everything they can to help. and the government isnt paying enough attention to the ACTUAL problems & making commercials & giving people ideas & ways to help, or just INFORMING the public of what is happening to our planet.

  7. the Earth was twice as warm as it currently is now when the life forms (plants, fish, etc.) that much later formed into oil were around

  8. I think it's something that needs to be taken care of, but not enough people in this world care enough to do so. :|

I don't think people will really look at it as a problem until it gets really bad, then  it probably won't be able to be fixed much.

  9. a lot of hype with a little validity. al gore's "inconvenient truth" is a load of c**p as is he. it's ok for him to pick and choose how he pollutes and not care.

besides, the Good Book gives us dominion and control over the earth and the creatures. sure we should try to be good stewards but not OCD.

    i do have a degree in environmental, it's not like i don't care...peace

  10. oh sertantly its real, mother nauture has reared its ugly head and showed GW is real. I only hope we fix the problem so my children can live in a safe world!

  11. that we could manage  to avoid it, we have the technology, that it would not only cost less to avoid it than to try and cope with it but in the long run would save us money instead of wasting it on low efficiency  and imported fuels, but sadly we don't have the political leadership to do so. which is dumb, because it's not like global warming is the only thing stopping us from having petroleum be a nice cheap source of fuel forever, as we now realize. so if we made an effort to avoid AGW, we'd not only succeed, we'd jump ourselves a century forward in energy technology.

  12. We are all going to die. Short and to the point.

  13. Real, mostly caused by us.

This is science and what counts is the data, not people's intuition.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)

    Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut

Here are two summaries of the mountain of peer reviewed data that convinced Admiral Truly and the vast majority of the scientific community, short and long.

    summarized at:

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

EVERY major scientific organization has issued an official statement that this is real, and mostly caused by us.  The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.
