  1. It's not unsolicited if you've told someone your problems...it's human nature to try to help someone through a difficult time.

  2. My reaction?

"Are you finished? You think so? Get another wad and soak it in warm water ...you missed a spot, and don't press so hard this time."

Yeah, that's my reaction...and people usually walk away as I'm saying, "Come back...your'e not finished."

    They catch on fast enough.

  3. Yes.  If I didn't ask for your advice or your help, then why give it to me?  I am legally blind and have a guide dog and when I reach a corner people always want to tell me "its okay to go" or that "wait, there's traffic" when people who are blind are trained to listen for these cues on their own.  It ticks me off because I want to be independent and if I need any help, I'm not afraid to ask.  If I don't ask, then I don't want help.  I had a laugh once because if you want to turn left or right at a corner you have to go straight to the corner to find it, then tell the dog left or right, and I went to find a corner once, this woman told me "its okay to go" and then I took a couple steps back and turned left and never crossed!  I hope she knows next time not to assume...
