What is your reaction to Juan Pablo Montoya's recent heat with his owner, Chip Ganassi?

Recently, Juan Pablo Montoya got into an argument with his owner, Chip Ganassi, at Lowe's Motor Speedway. He cited that was not happy with the release of his (former) crew chief, Jimmy Elledge, as well as other directions Ganassi's team is currently going.

So, as a result, what do you think of Montoya's recent actions? I like them because he is actually standing-up for himself and demanding that is not going to be a pushover that just drives for team that is giving him stuff that he doesn't like.

BIG NOTE: If you are going to respond with a comment that states that Montoya sucks, or even saying that open-wheelers don't belong in NASCAR, I will not except that pathetic childish comment, to which you can look like a fool by only impressing yourself.

It doesn't surprise me any.  Chip Ganassi is a jerk and has never treated his employees well.  What does surprise me is that it took so long for Juan to get mad at him.

I dont think Juan has ever shown that he isnt going to stand up for himself on or off the track.  I think he and Chip go way back but if an opportunity comes to get in better equipment, I think he will absloutely jump on it.  I dont make a big deal out of the fight because I'm sure that stuff happens all the time.  I'd love to see the guy in a top notch car for sure!

Good for him, it is about time he stuck up for himself.  Chip needs to put more attention to his drivrs on Nascar circuit,  Dosn't look like he is doing a very good job.

Chip's got too many irons in the fire and does not seem to be devoting enough of his attention and resources to his NASCAR teams right now.  I'd be pissed if I was Juan, they have jerked him around with all the different crew chiefs and not given him good enough cars to make the chase.  He is a top 10 driver in mid twenties equipment, something will change with that situation soon (and I don't see Chip's stuff getting that much better).  There are a bunch of teams watching this situation with great interest.

the only thing I have to say is he better watch what he says to Ganassi...........the boss man has a bad temper and he may be looking for a new ride if he doesn't watch his mouth

JPM needs a better team. he has a lot of talent, and could win races, maybe with Joe Gibbs?? I am surprised it took him this long to get mad, I expected it sooner.

He is acting like Stewart now?  Must have missed that.  What do I think of his recent actions?  I think he should place a better in races before he starts shooting off his mouth.  he has not earned that right yet.

honestly, i don't have a strong reaction other than the guy who signs the checks gets to make the rules. if jpm wants a bigger say, he might want to look around a bit - he may not be the most popular driver in the garage, but he is a talent that many teams would be glad to have.

I think in the long run he will end up leaving after his contract is up and move to another team.

Ganassi is not paying any real attention to the NASCAR operation, he publicly criticizes employees which is  as far from professional as you can get, and  understandably spent most of his time at Indy. In my humble opinion he either needs to get a full time G.M. and give hem control of the NASCAR operation or sell it , because right now he is going nowhere at a high rate of speed.

First of all, I like the latter part of your post! Lol!  But I feel Juan has every right to be upset.  3 different crew chiefs in a one month span??? It's bad when teams change crew chiefs once a year!  Ganassi Racing has struggled for the last several years...I think Juan could be a great driver if he only had the equipment to be.

JPM shoud be mad, Chip isnt given him a chance to really gel with crew cheif and I'm assuming he felt some sort of a connection with Elledge.  I actually kinda like JPM a little more now.
