What is your respnse to the Kyoto Protcol and the U.S. stance on the document?

Kyoto just hasn't worked.  Some nations didn't sign and others didn't live up to their responsibilities.

Now that global warming has been proven to be real, mostly caused by us, and a serious threat, I think we can get a new and better treaty.

I don't know George Bush's reasons for not signing the document, but I do know that Australia and the US are the only nations not to sign. John Howard seems to think that the expectations are unrealistic and not right for Australia, since we have so much coal. Clearly Australia is behind in this, John Howard still doubts the existence of global warming and refuses to do anything to help slow it down.
