What is your stance oF global Warming based on Scientific Facts?

Based on data (i.e. facts) that I have seen:

1) Global average temperatures have been generally rising for the past 10,000 years

2) The trend is not, however, monotonic and there have been times stable or falling temperatures within the warming trend

3) Carbon Dioxide levels have been increasing monotonically since about 1800.

4) The correlation between atmospheric CO2 level increase and global temperatures is not very good - not surprising considering one is monotonic and the other is not.

5) It's been much warmer several times in the past, about 3 degrees Celsius warmer.

6) It's also been much cooler several times in the past

7) The warming/cooling cycle is very regular

8) The current warming trend started right on schedule based on these regular cycles

9) It's going to get warmer before it's over, about 3 degrees Celsius warmer.  Then it's going to get cooler.  

10) We cannot stop this, so we should quit trying and get ready for the inevitable.

what was the average temperature of the earth in 2007?subtract the 1907 data from the2007 data

allow 1 degree or so either way as an error factor for different measuring points & methods.

so why is anyone even discussing this?

It depends on what scientific facts.

It was the scientists and engineers who predicted the disastrous effects of the Millennium bug, that too turned out to be a damp squib.

Try not to believe all that you are told, scientists, media or otherwise.

I have to go with NASA and the fact there has been no temperature increase since 1998. That can be substantiated. Whether Al Gore is a living, breathing, human being and not a sock puppet for the leftest environmentalists hasn't been established as yet.

We learned that the last deadly Ice Age ended about 18,000 year ago, that the oceans have risen hundreds of feet since then, the glaciers melted back over a thousand miles...  that all this happened long before man became industrialized.

We know that the Earth underwent a frightening cooling spell during the 1960s and 1970s, causing scientists to warn us of a new ice age coming.  This happened while industry pumped CO2 into the atmosphere, proving CO2 could not trap the heat when the Earth decided to cool down a bit.

We know CO2 is not the cause of the warming/cooling. We know it is primarily a result of the Earth's eccentric orbit as well as fluctuations in solar activity.

Man cannot cause it and man cannot stop it.  But man is sure as h**l going to be taxed to death for it.
