What is your take - Historians say McCarthy was telling the truth?

He had many weaknesses, but almost every case he charged has now been proven correct. Whether it was stealing atomic secrets or influencing U.S. foreign policy, communist victories in the 1940s were fed by an incredibly vast spy and influence network.

You can google (Communism - McCarthy Was Right) to form your own opinion, I'd really like to hear it. From this article I learned he was poisoned to death under "suspicious circumstances" while in the hospital.

Mccarthy was right and was vilified for it by the Democrats because it exposed their real political gaols and their inability to defend the nation.  If you read McCarthy's Bio you will see a great man.  The left hate him.  My son's social studies class had a text book that said all the standard bad lies about him.  But the worst was quote "He was head of  HUAC (House Un-American Activities Committee).  The leftist teacher was so stupid, hateful and brain washed, she did not even understand what I meant when I told her McCarthy was a Senator!
