With the state that boxing is in now (for several years) and the watered down heavy weight division(and other divisions too). I was already told he would never be a champ because of his hieght ,but he ended up as one. Do you think he would draw a crowd he in the States ? I know if he did it because most people never seen a 7ft Boxer .

Thanks

  1. He does the basics very well and you are right the state of the division is a shocker!!! In yesteryear he would never make it!

He would draw a crowd in the US but not for his boxing skills but because he's a monster of a man at 330 lbs.

He still has to strap both knees and his size is a real hinderence for him. Once a fighter is over 6'5" he really struggles as he becomes very robotic, slow and predictable. Chagev looked tiny when he beat him and he is a fairly big man himself although again he's no great heavyweight

  2. Valuev fought in Chicago when he defeated Monte Barret, and he drew a pretty big crowd so yes, if he fought here again he probably would draw another big crowd.  He won the title by beating John Ruiz contraversially and he lost it by losing a close fight to Ruslan Chagaev.  But, based on his recent, dominant points win over Sergei Liakhovich, I think that he has a good chance of regaining his title.  He is an okay boxer with a long reach and a huge size advantage, but I think that he would lose to the better skilled heavyweights such as Wladimir Klitchsko or Samuel Peter.

  3. He is a monster. I don't think there is a boxer out there that can defeat Valuev. He is freaking massive in size and weight. I would be scare to fight this guy. Notwithstanding the lack of power pounch, he is still ko'ing people out.

  4. He would probably draw a crowd but only for a short time. He's a big hard puncher buth that's it. No good at footwork, he's slow and he cant ward off punches.

  5. He reminds me of Primo Carnera; A

complete joke. He has poor skills,

abysmal power for someone his size, and

    little to no speed.

His fights are also as boring as a college

    lecture!
