  1. I only allow my lil girl to watch sprout which is on in the evening ,very good and clean she likes to watch them while we have are down time , after her bath and after I have spent time reading to her. I allow her to watch for 55 mins. and her T.V. goes off then and she is a sleep before then most of the time. I think a lil T.V. after bath is okay , since most of her days are playing outside and swimming with mommy

  2. My 3 year old LOVES the Noggin channel. I admit, the TV is on in my house most of the day. I think she sits still for about an hour, total, most days, and it's usually to watch Maggie and the Ferocious Beast or Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!

Both shows teach kids inter and intra-personal skills, sharing, friendships, not to mention how to use their imaginations. I like Wubbzy because it has such a positive message for kids: to not bend to pressure to be perfect, ask for help, and value your friends for the differences between you. Deep stuff for a preschooler, but she really seems to dig it.

Oh, and I must admit...my 5 month old daughter stares at the TV and squeals with delight when Yo Gabba Gabba is on. lol

  3. My daughter is 15 months (not quite a toddler) and only has one show she is even remotely interested in.  I couldn't tell you what it's called.  but it's on every weekday for about 5-10 minutes on TLC around 8:30am.  It used to be on before Bindi the Jungle Girl, but she' hasn't been on lately.  It's about a penguin and his other animal friends....otherwise she's super interested in books, and i really like it that way.  except that she wants my husband or i to read to ehr 24/7  :)

  4. my daughter has more than one favorite show. she likes the backyardigins and dora and diego.

I like dora and diego because she learns about animals and learns spanish at the same time.

  5. my son used to love things like clifford, and sesame street and superwhy? but he switched to oswald and franklin on Noggin  a few months ago. I love noggin...every show has a lesson and no bad words or violence. We are not home much during the day, but I DVR his favorites to keep him occupied so I can do a load of laundry or put groceries away in peace.

  6. My son likes Dora the Explorer and Diego.  He's 2.5.  I'm not sure he realizes that they are different shows.

He's not a big fan of Sesame Street, but he likes the Cookie Monster too.

  7. barney

  8. My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves Little Einsteins on Disney channel, which I think is great because it is an educational show.

She also like to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and My Friends Tigger & Pooh  :)

My son is 15 months, he is a bit young for TV, though he does catch a bit of it when my daughter is watching.  I really don't think he has a favorite show just yet  :)

  9. My 4 year old son is obsessed with Tom & Jerry while my 3 year old loves the Wiggles!

  10. my 19 month old daughter loves little einsteins, mickey mouse clubhouse, and my friends tigger and pooh. those 3 are her fav. shes loves to pat her lap and throw her arms in the air when the rocket blasts off lol

  11. I know a two year old who has very limited TV time and only watch "learning shows". Like Noggin, right now his favorite is Pinky Dinky Doo, he is very good with learning big words.

My opinion, nothing on Cartoon Nework is suitable for children under 6 yrs old.

  12. i try not to let my son watch tv they shouldnt be watching it if they are under two years of age if that. and all of use should be getting only two hours of it a day it is bad for our health. but my son doesnt have a favorite one. he could care less about the tv which i like.     the tv is not a babysitter. like my friends use and then say how she doesnt want her kid raised on moderen toys. but lets her watch dvds all day long.

  13. I'm pretty selective about what I let my son watch. I hate the commercialism of kids' tv shows - have you ever tried buying a straw cup without a character on it? It's hard to find.

Without even watching tv, he can already name a good number or the popular characters, just because they're everywhere!

Anyway, I just started to let him watch Harold and the Purple Cryaon on HBO. My son asks Harold to draw him a choo choo. It's very cute.

  14. My 2 year old "Potty Trainee" is watching Wow Wow Wubbzy, it's his favorite! I record them so we have them on for poo-poo time. He even says "Ooohh, Kooky!" OMG, it's so cute!!

  15. -My son is 3 he loves...

Super Why...It teaches them the letters and sounds!

    Word world...they build words!

He has been watching for about a year now and he is able to sould out words and read easy pre-k and kinder books!

My other sons teacher says its amazing to her that he can read so much for a little guy.. So amazing she took him in for the 2009-2010 school year one year early!

However nothing replaces the gift of reading! Please never say no when your child asks you to read to him! Its a gift they will thank you for later!
