In louisiana we enjoy Bananas Foster, made from bananas and vanilla ice cream, with the sauce made from butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark rum, and banana liqueur. Pain Per Deu which means lost bread. Beignets which is fried dough with powdered sugar. King cake.

Doberge cake, Doberge cake is a layered dessert from Louisiana.  The cake is made of multiple thin layers of cake alternating with dessert pudding. Very often the cakes are made with half chocolate pudding and half lemon pudding. They are covered in a thin layer of butter cream and then a layer of fondant. They are normally made with six or more layers, but many amateurs make versions with fewer  .Pralines or pecan candy.

My favs are besan ladoo, kaju burfi and gulab jamuns --- they are all Indian desserts.  The Besan Ladoo is not too sweet but very buttery and just melts in your mouth.  Kaju Burfi is made with cashews and sugar, it's creamy, soft and delicious.  Gulab jamuns are like fried doughnut holes soaked in a saffron rose syrup --- yummy!

A very popular indian sweet is rasmalai.

My favourite is "gaajar ka halwa" - it is neither very sweet, just a bit of crunch, and very munchable.
