It is an electronics company that developed the first remote control television in the 1950's. It was called the flashmatic, it used lite rays. Then it came out with the space command which was like an ultrasonic signal, then finally the computer space command, which is basically what you have today the infrared. It is now owned by LG (Goldstar) I don't know how the quality compares, but I have a 25 inch Zenith tv in my bedroom that is 20 years old, never been repaired, and works as good as it did when it was new.

Zenith is an electronics company. I believe it ended up merging with the Goldstar company and created a resulting brand 'LG' which stands for Lucky Goldstar. LG is the premium brand, followed by Zenith and the "thrifty" end of the line is Goldstar. You would most notibly see Zenith making DVD players, TVs, VCRs etc.
