  3. The question may refer mistakenly to Tasmania which is in that position, but is very much a part of Australia being one of the 6 Australian states.

  4. That'd be either Tasmania.

  5. Sydney and Auckland are close to the same latitude.  Anything north-west of New Zealand cannot be south of Australia.
