  1. I agree about the ABC islands.

If you continue east, you'll see Isla Margarita in Venezuela.

Also Barbados is pretty far south. Be advised though, just because they are below the hurricane belt, does'nt mean they can't get one. A lot less of a chance, but it does happen. Enjoy your anniversary. I cannot stress enough about travel insurance. It will only cost about $150 and well worth the piece of mind. They cover everything. Delays, cancelled flights, baggage mishaps, and medical coverage usually up to $50,000. Just remember not to purchase the travel insurance from the same company you book the trip with, in case they go out of business. This can all be done on-line. Good Luck.

  2. The ABC islands-Aruba, Bonaire or Curacao.  They are south of the hurricane belt so it is rare for them to see a hurricane.

  3. The A/B/C/ islands.....

  4. The "ABC islands" are "virtually" hurricane-free, as they are out of the usual path of hurricanes.  [Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao]

  5. You should probably try one of the islands to the south of the Caribbean, or those near to Venezuela.

Those would be out of the hurricane belt, but may be affected by rains and winds...not hurricane strength but strong.

  6. Cruises are great too. Your captain will make sure you don't cruise to any port that has a tropical storm.

Also consider Puerto Vallarta or Los Cabos.

Have a fun anniversary and congratulations!)

  7. Aruba. it virtually gets missed by the hurricanes.
