What isn't allowed through airport security?

like razors, hair dryers, belts...ect. i'm going on a trip soon and never been in an airport, and the metal detector thing you go through, what all is allowed through that? like glasses, shoes?

Sometimes you have to take your shoes off to be scanned and sometimes you do not.

When going through the metal detector you should empty your pockets and take off any belt as the metal clip often makes the alarm go off. Glasses you can wear. Some boots also makes the alarm go off. Then they usually make you take them off and go through again.
