What issues do Palin and Clinton support? What would make Clinton supporters support her?

Gender has little to do with this race. I support the MCCAIN/PALIN ticket because they are good for a representative democracy. We don’t need to socialist democracy that Obama/Biden ticket would bring. Plus, having the same political party in charge of both branches is a recipe for more greed and corruption, as we found out when the Republicans held that power. We need parity between the the two branches, not more rubber-stamp politics.

She is is about energizing conservatives.

Why does everybody think this about Hillary Clinton?

Palin = energize gun owners

Palin = energize pro-lifers and evangelicals

Palin = energize independents who are sick of wastefull washington spending

Clinton supports the sanctity of marriage, she stayed with her cheating dog for a "husband" and marriage is an ideal supported by Palin.

The biggest would be feminine issues. Whether they agree on those issues may not matter more than the fact that they represent the same community. A very good move by McCain, but i wish he had announced it before the democratic convention. To quote Socrates, "Humans are like sheep. They just follow one Sheep blindly".

If any Clinton supporters are now jumping ship to the McCain campaign because of Sarah Palin, it just proves that they ONLY care about a candidates gender and not the issues. It's petty, ridiculous, and in my opinion pretty selfish if any of them do. The vast majority of Clinton supporters aren't buying into is, and most of them that I've heard from are kind of insulted that McCain would think they'd join on just because he chose a woman.

Clinton and Palin couldn't be any more opposite in their stances on EVERY issue.

They have a large amount in common such as: both support anything Israel wants to do, their trade policy would be the same, both would stall health care change till issue faded, both support Iraq war, energy?
