1. Here is the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) list of prohibited and allowed items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p...

You'll also need to put all liquids that you plan to bring onto the plane in your hand luggage into a sandwich-sized Ziplock baggie. These liquids can only be 3 fluid ounces (100 mL) or smaller in volume. Here's the TSA site for that, too: http://www.tsa.gov/311/index.shtm

It seems complicated, but it's really not too difficult to do once you know what the procedure is. :)

    Have a great flight.

  2. There's probably a specific site, but I can tell you now, that you're carry on luggage cannot contain anything liquid or cream. There is some kind of ounce limit, and they used to give free plastic zip lock bags for small stuff, but to avoid the annoyingness of it all, your best bet is to just put all that stuff in the checked luggage.

All objects that could be considered dangerous, including razors, fingernail clippers, nail files, all need to go into checked luggage. They are pretty picky these days.
