Any computer projector will work fine.  If you plan to use your monitor at the same time, make sure the projector has a VGA output connector.

You need:

projector ($500 and up)

VGA cable (comes with projector)

you can also get a video card for your pc that has a s-video out on it and an s-video cable

You really just need a projector and VGA cable.  A VGA cable has a 15-pin male on both ends to connect the projector to your video card on your computer.  Typically, a VGA cable comes with the projector.  You can find projectors as cheap as $500.  The more money, the brighter the image.

You can project on a white wall.  If you don't have a white wall, you can use a projector screen or white bed sheet.  Projector screens start at $100.
