  3. All of these answers seem good but if you will need lot's of breast pads for leaking....I mean lots.  Personally the breast pads didn't work for me because they were so thin, so I used maxi pads...hope this helps.

  4. be sure not to forget your medical records(they are important)

    Cosmetic bag : soap etc

    Sanitary towels (no tampons)

    Clean Under wear

    Slippers

    Night Gown

    Clothing to wear home

    Nursing Bra

    Camera

    For the Baby:

    Clothing:Vests. hats,socks,booties

    Blankets

    bottles

    pacifiers

    recieving blanket

    diapers

    wipes

    baby hand covers

    baby clippers

    hat

    Brush /Comb set

  5. you already have a great list from another answerer but based on my friend's experience - take lots of tissues!!!

  6. Clothes to wear home for you and baby, car-seat should be installed,  toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush, shampoo and conditioner in case you want to take a shower there after wards (giving birth can leave you feeling gross), insurance information, copy of your birth plan, camera if you want to take pictures, phone numbers of anyone you are suppose to call, phone card because many hospitals charge for phone use so if you have long distance calls to make you will want a phone card.

  7. Packing for Two

    For Yourself

A nightgown or big shirt to wear during labor, although a hospital gown

    will be provided

    Socks

    Washcloths and towels

    Slippers

A few nightgowns, pajamas or T-shirts and sweat pants (breastfeeding

mothers might find loose-fitting T-shirts or nursing gowns most comfortable)

    A robe

    Several pairs of underpants

Large, self-adhesive sanitary pads (the ones provided by the hospital may be small and hard to use)

    Soap

    Shampoo

    Hairbrush

    Toothbrush and toothpaste

Any other toiletries, cosmetics or hairstyling equipment you want

Phone numbers for people you want to call

Cell phone/charger, if no cell, a phone card

    Clothes to wear home

    For Your Baby

Most hospitals provide the basics for newborns during their hospital stay: a knit cap, an undershirt, diapers and blankets. When it comes time to take the baby home, you'll need your own things.

    A receiving blanket

Clothes to wear home, including an undershirt, cap and socks

Disposable diapers (most hospitals provide these)

Bunting or a warm blanket if it's cold outside

    A car seat

The outfit you want for the pictures

  8. 3 diapers, stationary to write thank you notes, 2 nightgowns, slippers, a pillow, the outfit you want to bring your baby home in, toothbrush, hairbrush, camera...there was a list a mile long in my preparation for parenting book, but thats all I can remember for now.

  9. -shampoo/conditioner

    -toothbrush/toothpaste

    -soap

-comfy pjs.... socks too... its freezing in there

-pads (the hospital ones are like seriously humungous lol)

-books/crossword puzzles.... with my fisrt i was so excited i was up all night and bored.

    -cell phone

    -laptop (for boredom)

-onesies (the hospital ones are okay if you prefer)

    - a cute outfit for picture day if you plan on buying the hosp pics

    - pacifier (i always brought my own for my kids)

    - a really really comfortable bra because about the 2 day or so your b*****s are going to start hurting if you arent breastfeeding

    - socks for baby ( i really didnt use anything of the hospitals)

    - definitely remember the car seat, they wont let the baby leave without one

    - camera!!

pretty much all i can think of off the top of my head
