What jet ski to buy for a beginner?

i've gone jetskiing twice. i fell in love with it the first time. renting jetskis here are expensive. so might as well buy one. i'm a petite (small) girl so i need a lightweight jetski. for now i dont care if the speed of the jetski is not too fast since im a beginner but can go fast when i want to and something i can easily control. what type/brand of jet ski should i buy? and how much and where i can buy it? thanks.

well basically the best way to find out is just like anything else u ride, go down to your local shops and the people that work their are usually pretty chill, and they help you get set up. It also helps though to go with a friend who has one, so they will be able to tell you in case you are getting swifted or something. Mainly though for a beginner, I'd recommend that you keep a one to two seater in mind, so its not big to handle, but honestly after a few times riding it you'll get used to it, and the size won't matter that much. And another thing to keep in mind is that you want the style where you sit down, not where you have to stand up to ride them, because they are making that style illegal at alot of lakes. brands I'd suggest are sea doo and yamha, but their are other nice ones out their two.

If you go out and buy a brand new one, with trailer and all, your probably looking at around at least 10 grand or so, and you can easily spend more than that. Also the larger models, like the 3 seaters with wakeboarding abbilities run alot more, like up to 15 grand. You can also sometimes look around on places like craigslist, and sometimes find a used one that doesn't have many hours on it, because they are much more affordable that way.

As for where to buy I can't exactly tell you, cause idk where u live, but in most major cities there are anual boating shows, and they have a ton of different venders their promoting all their gear, and the sales people will tell you about their nearest shops. also the websites for the venders, like yamaha, can tell you where to go on their websites.
