  1. I'm all for kids paying for their own stuff as soon as they can, but you have to be 14 to get a work permit. I started working as a paper delivery girl at 13, did babysitting and ran errands for old folks in my neighborhood for all my pocket money. Boys can do all of that and mow lawns and weed gardens- not an option where I grew up, but it could be where you are. If you work for yourself you don't need a work permit, but you have to work harder to get the work done and do all of your school work. Never let school slip- it is the foundation for the rest of your life. Little jobs just teach you the value of a dollar, not all the things that dollar represents.

  2. mow lawns on weekends or do yardwork.

  3. Nothing, they should be in school and studying....plus you have to be at least 14 or 15 to work.

  4. You can't work for a business at that age. Child labor laws prevent it. But...You can baby sit, mow lawns, walk dogs, stuff like that. Talk to you parents and see what they would recommend.

  5. Depending where you live..in the city he could get in touch with a small

corner store to clean and sweep.

In apartment complex where there are Seniors, many need help..

running errands ..cutting grass ..washing cars..doing laundry..

walking dogs..find some 60plus folks need help doing lots of stuff.

  6. well i dont think your going to get there at only 13 so maybe do lawn work or somthing smaller to start possibly dogsitting if somones going to be out you could
