you can apply if your over 18 lived in uk for 5 years and physically fit but Police Officer's take an Initial Recruitment Test. so if you have english grade C+ you may be in with a chance..I know that

GCSE's (A* to C) and/or A level are an advantage esp. English and Maths;

BTEC First/National qualifications in Public Services an alternative.
