What job can I get with my anthropology-zoology bachelors degree (BS)?

Question

I didn't pay good money to learn about animals so I could clean up elephant p**p! Any ideas, or advice? Maybe from people with personal experience?

you could teach at a high school.  You can't do really anything without at least a Masters in Anthropology.  You can't even teach at a university level without a Masters.

Grad school.  

The BS degree won't do you a great deal of good in the job market (which is very narrow for this specialization).  An MA is a minimum for actually working in the field, and a PhD is prerequisite for most available positions.  

Did anybody at your undergraduate institution ever discuss employment opportunities with you before you committed yourself to this?  They should have done so - it's part of their job. If not, you should see if that college has a career center for alumni.  If so, you should get in touch.

If you want to work in your field and not have a low-paying job, you need a PhD. This isn't true for all BS degrees, but it certainly is in those fields.

You could teach high school or junior high, but you have to get a teaching credential. If you have get a Masters you MIGHT be able to teach community college, but will be competing with people with PhDs (and there are a surplus of these).

My dad said that you could never get very far with BS.

But in real life, I've found that some of the greatest people are full of nothing much but BS.

All you have to do is repackage.

You can work for your state government as an "Environmental Programs Specialist."  I have a degree in zoology and I am having trouble finding a good job also...  so good luck!

Get a masters. You'll never get a respectable, good-paying job with a BS in anthro/zoology. I'm going for sociology/anthro, so I'm going to need a masters too if I don't want to end up as a manager of a Target.

You could work as a researcher, but you could get a lot more if you get a Master's degree.
