  1. You could ask if the course has a need for caddies. With the golf carts taking over  that job there may be a few golfers who would hire a caddy if one was available.

  2. There are plenty of different jobs at a golf course but I think you are too young to work at one, I think the youngest you can be is 14 or 15. Good Luck.

    have a good one...

  3. due to child labor laws you are prolly too young right now. stick to lawn mowing and paper routes for now. good luck

  4. If they have caddies, (most upper-level country clubs do) you can take a caddy class and do that- if you have any knowledge of the sport or the course. I started at a course when I was 12, so you should be able to do that.

Otherwise you could get a job like washing clubs, depending on maturity and openings you might be able to swing a job with carts or maybe the driving range. Good luck! Starting work young is a great idea, I applaud you!

  5. wash golf carts. Pick up range balls and put them in baskets. Clean up around the clubhouse. Pull weeds, rake sandtraps.

    Good luck

  6. Most states won't allow you to work until you are 14.  But if the club let's it slide, you could be a caddie, shoe shine boy in the locker room, or maybe work in the rack room cleaning clubs after the players have finished their round.

  7. I am a Golf Course Superintendent so as I manage a course facility I would not be able to take you on as there are regulations that stop me from doing that for your age. However, as I work at a high end resort course I would approach one of the smaller clubs near you...not so elite and ask the Superintendent if he would be interested in taking you on say every weekend. The course needs to be set up for members play every saturday and sunday and every bit of help would be well appreciated.

Most club pros regardless of whether there are caddies or not will contemplate having you work after school and weekends...picking up balls on the range....cleaning clubs and shoes....running errands around the golf course and such. Talk to them as well...the Superintendents and club pros really appreciate young kids talking to them and showing an interest in what they do and a keeness to work. I started off as a cart boy cleaning carts for a few years through high school.

    Good Luck to you.
