  1. Depends on how worldly you are.  There are programs that you can teach English in Thailand and other Asian cultures. They pay for your flight, living expenses, and you make a nice salary.  Usual contracts are about a year long.

    oversea teacher

    social worker

  4. What about an events manager, organising  parties, or conferences.  You could specialise in organising children's theme parties for instance, or weddings .  Whatever you choose, good luck!

  5. wedding planner.

  6. Tour guide that caters to kids like touring DisneyWorld.

  12. maybe you could do some volunteer work abroad, OR, go work at an international school abroad.

  13. well I cannot think in one work that fits all your need. I guess you could be air hostess or au-pair in a foreign country.Or an international party planner????(If such a thing exists)

  14. A event planner is a nice job you can organize, plana nd be the boss. If you are creative and a take charge person this is the best job for you. A school teacher is nice too. DO what you think is best for you. Maybe a party planner, you get to work with kids parties and this should be fulfilling.

    Hope this helps.

  15. Have you considered getting your Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma? With this, you could work in a preschool, a daycare, a youth centre, etc. My friend works at a youth centre and organizes all the events for the kids who go there, and then she works as one of the leaders. She organizes field trips to places like aquariums, sporting events, science centres, etc. She acts as a mentor to the younger kids as well. These are all kids who have problems with their home lives.

Working in a preschool would also be a lot of fun, and is something I'm considering. You would get to plan lots of things for the kids to work on, plus lesson plans and things like that. Also, you would help plan things like parent-teacher nights, outings for the kids, etc.

You can get an ECE certificate or diploma from most local colleges, and they take one to two years full-time plus there's a practicum to get work experience.

Also, you could study for a diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. My brother works abroad managing a hotel in the UK (we're from Canada). He gets to travel as he lives overseas and he organizes events for the guests.

Why don't you consider volunteering somewhere to find out what you may be interested in doing? I'm going to be volunteering at the local children's hospital to see if I really want to work with kids. I'd love to volunteer at my friend's preschool once a week but unfortunately I work full-time so that's not an option. If you're in high school and/or have summers off, you might want to consider finding a daycare or summer camp to volunteer at. It may help you decide what direction to move in!

Good luck! I know it's such a hard decision! I'm 27 and still don't know what I want to be "when I grow up"!!  ;o)
