Question:

What job should I do when I'm older?

I would really like a job when I'm older that involves working outdoors, possibly with animals and nature. I'm quite keen on moving to Australia when I'm older too, because of the natural beauty, wildlife and surfing there.

Any ideas on what I should be and how I could pursue it?

  1. first things you should consider is

    1. health excellent

    2. financial excellent

Getting back into work as a senior can be a daunting prospect, but overall it is worthwhile for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is a fantastic way to ensure you retain a degree of mental stimulation, which will keep you more mentally agile for longer. Additionally, it is a good idea to keep you busy and active in the community, which can be something many retired people miss as the years roll by. On top of that, you will also be able to add more money to the coffers to see you through, which of course can never be a bad thing.

  2. If you are a British citizen, you should stay where you are when you are old and not migrate to Australia. Also at that age, you should slow down and not go surfing and indulge in outdo rs adventure and wildlife. Those are for young people. As we get nearer to retirement you should spend more time with your family. In the UK, pensioners enjoy many privileges, like free transportation on buses and trains and other public zoo and entertainment centres and the city of London.

  3. Based on your qualifications, interest, physique, and career ambitions, you can consider one of the following:

Park ranger, zoo staff, aquarium staff, botanist, zoologist, etc.

Note that many of these jobs are excellent and "satisfying" jobs, but monetary part may be a different story.  As they old saying goes, 90% of workers do what they have to, not what they like to./
