Movie Theater:
Pros: incredible social life with girls employees and customers, concession person with somewhat hard work (you always have to be doing something no matter how stupid it is is their moto), prizes at the end of each month which i won an ipod touch for upsizing, constant movie theater parties and such, made a BEST friend. FREE MOVIES!
Cons: work till late and reach home at about 12:30-3:30, they will not give me a shift that does not involve closing. managers believe i am slow. 8.00 pay and every 400 hours a .07 dollar raise. Coworkers who have no authority takes advantage of your new recruit position. Work with some problematic coworkers who "overworks" the theater expectations and expects you do to the same.
Safeway:
Pros: cons, people two or three years older than me who all attend unioversity so thus I belive they are good role model, some great friends, good relationship with the manager and employees, and easy shifts (once a week), UNION. 8.75 pay. Slackest job good time waster...
Cons: Degrading job, i am a basket collector and only a basket collector, I expressed my complaint to the manager that a basket collector is not me and he said he will move me to grocery clerk and checker and thus an indication that the manager does her my thoughts. An employee is jealous of me being popular or smth.
Help me choose... I am a 16 year old guy and I have been having night mares on this very subject and I no longer can handle two jobs at once. I am starting gr. 12. Help me choose the most benefiting, hip, and qualitative job.
