im currently a marine, and weighing my options of staying in or getting out. regardless of when i get out, i know what i want to do in the civi world, and thats some sort of police/criminal/intel work. My options ive been thinking about is CIA, FBI, LAPD (and eventually making it to detective), secret service, or even an embassy gaurd (have 3 years of experience). Any thoughts or advice on what i should do? and i was thinking of getting a minor in criminal justice, and majoring in psychology. Are there better things to major in?

  1. Im an agent if you want to get into law enforcement start from the bottom because a police officer learn the streets learn everything from experience then once you have experience you can go like cia , dea , FBI, anything once you have that experience on your shoulder yes having a degree is always good just remember you still going to start at the bottom agency's will always look for people with experience. secret service is a good career to trust me i know.. good luck to you..

  2. law enforcement is good you have to look at all law enforcement some jobs my not be for you cause maybe you have kids or your away alot you just have to look at them real close im a federal agent and being a agent is pretty good.

    good luck marine.
