What job would this be considered?

Okay so i'm in highschool and trying to figure out what I wan't to do when I get older. I love autobiographies, writing, traveling and history?

Any jobs or fields I should look into?

I also really care about the enviroment and want to make a difference. I esspecially love ancient history. I need to be outside or in a historical atmosphere. I love mystery and discovering new things.

There arent many people who make their money by exploring anymore. About the only job you could get where you'd be in a historical atmosphere and still making money would be a museum job. Which sometimes they do make pretty good money.  Be a collector, try to gather ancient artifacts and stuff, and start a museum. Along the way people will donate things, and you can research them. I have similar intrests to you, but I think mine will just turn out to be a hobby more than a career.

archeology and anthropology.  you need to know a lot about ancient civilizations.  you would be piecing together parts of the past and figuring out how civilizations ran. its a lot of implying and inferring.  its not so much detective work so much as ID-ing and reasoning.  you could travel to various places.  you would look at artifacts, figure out what they were used for and decide what this tells you about that civilization. then you would write and publish reports of your findings as well as your hunches.

Look into anthropology or archeology.  That can combine the history and discovery with the travel aspects.  But it's a very competetive field.
