  1. If you live in a larger city, there are inner city ministries and programs that you volunteer for.  YMCA's have afterschool programs to help kids with the homework and physical activities.

If you don't have an inner city and live in a small town, check the rural areas where you live--there are always families struggling to put food on the table.

If you have school age kids, maybe they are aware of kids in their school who are hungry all the time, are wearing hand me down clothes or don't have school supplies.  The kids probably wouldn't say anything about their living conditions but a teacher or pastor may know if there is a family in need.

I've driven around town with a truck load of bread and find pockets of needy people that seem to have fallen through the cracks.  You just need to train yourself to look for the signs of need and be forward enough to ask if someone needs help.

    Good luck

  2. check w/your local united way

  3. Therapist..Child therapist

  4. There are many jobs available to work with "less fortunate" children -- children who have disabilities, children from "broken" homes, children from "at-risk" neighbhorhoods, etc. You will need an appropriate degree, however (child psychology, for instance) and a great deal of training. You also will have to undergo a criminal background check.

Jobs range from counseling to providing medical care to education.

Might be a good idea to make a list of nonprofits in your community who work with children and look into volunteering for such, so you can learn more about career opportunities.

  5. you hav a good heart gurl
