  1. probably Biology, and physics

  2. Geography is a fun and adventurous subject to be a part of!  Since geography is such a broad field there are abundant jobs available in a variety of career paths ranging from physical science related occupations, to social science related jobs, to jobs in the service industry, government, military, etc. Some important skills to develop when studying geography is observation of the world around you, the ability to understand how seemingly unrelated things and ideas are actually connected, and the ability to understand and create maps (knowledge of how to use Geographic Information Systems to interpret spatial data and create maps is a great skill that you will develop when studying geography at a university).  Check out the sources about careers in geography (see links to sources below). They are a great help and contain much information that would be helpful to you!

  3. There are so many jobs in Geography, like traveling and going adventures everyday!!! You'll find your way! Believe me.

  4. Hi, I have just finished a geography degree.  Are you taking A levels or GCSEs or other?  At GCSE I wouldn’t worry too much about your subject choices at this stage as long as you have Maths, Sciences and English, although try and do triple science if you can.  At A level, taking sciences would be ideal, all three if possible.  Oceanography is a very diverse subject area, but fundamentally it requires knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological aspects of the ocean and an understanding of how these interact.

Talk to your careers adviser, he/she should be able to give further advice.  When choosing any career it is important to understand your motivations.  Why do you think this is the career for you? Do lots of research but most importantly work hard at your studies.  Even if you change your mind later, a good academic record is the ideal foundation for perusing any career.

  5. Jobs in geography can range from academics, research, climatology, geology, business, marketing, demographics, policy, urban development, cartography...pretty much anything you find interesting..there's a geography job out there.

To become an oceanographer you'll need a degree in oceanography, marine biology, marine science, or marine geology. Go to your college website to find out what the course requirements are for one of these degrees.
