You can eventually work your way up to a six figure job as the chief administrator of a major public hospital. Play your cards well, and you can make $400,000 a year with those qualifications. But you have to be ambitious, willing to change jobs a lot and work long hours. And start out applying to the big well known hospitals.

My daughter, with a BA in economics and a certificate as an EMT was interning at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and being groomed for an administrative job on the fast track before she decided she liked the emergency medicine administration part better and went off to get an MS in transportation so she can save lives by better co-ordinating emergency medical transport.
