  1. all the major chains mention usely do not hire people under 15yrs due to the fact they have to pay you 15yrs pay rate and condition placed on employer. You are best start applying everywhere in your local shopping centre ask to see the store manager or manager on duty Coles and woolies you do it online. Make sure you are not wearing school clothes or skate wear. Remember that they are look at you to serve customers. Good luck do not get discouraged

  2. A paper round would be a good start. Ask your mum and dad to help you find a local news agent and ask them if they have any vacancies.

    Good luck.

  3. Coles, Woolworths, IGA, K-mart, Target, Big W, The Warehouse - any places like that - they love hiring young workers. Casual/part time after school and weekend work.

    Any fast food places, McDonalds, KFC etc - they all take on casual staff.

    Smaller takeaway shops, like Pizza, Pasta etc... they are always taking on delivery persons and need kitchen hands....

    - Most of the places above you apply online on their websites, look for a link 'careers' or 'employment'.  You fill in what area you want to work etc, and they will email you jobs coming up, you can pick and choose, if you accept they will call you in for an interview.

    For Your Info ::::

    The minimum legal age for working will be 14. 13 year olds will only be able to do work which is specified in local authority bye-laws;

    if you are under 15, you may not work for more than 5 hours on a Saturday or on any day during the school holidays (and no more than 2 hours on Sundays);

    if you are 15 or over, you may not work for more than 8 hours on a Saturday or on any day during the school holidays (the 2 hour limit for Sundays still applies);

    young people will have to have a two week break from work during a period in the year when they are not required to attend school;

    there will be a statutory rest break of one hour for young people who work for 4 hours or more;

    young people who are paid to take part in sport or work as a model will be covered by the special licensing provisions which currently cover young people in entertainment
