What jobs have the best chance of getting stationed in Air Force...?

at Japan like Yokota? Ive been to Kadena when I was little but I wanted to be near Tokyo.

  1. Ask the recruiter about jobs that you can go anywhere with? Clerical is a good choice as the poster above me has mentioned. Be warned that there are some jobs that allow you to only go to specific bases. Make sure you don't get those. Also remember that sometimes if the Air Force needs they will send whole classes to a certain base. This has happened to a few classes ahead of me. Also the dream sheet is only a dream. I picked all Overseas but the assignment they gave me was Oklahoma. I knew someone that picked all East Coast and she got Okinawa. Go Figure?? Well all is not lost, During tech school you are allowed to trade assignments with fellow airmen that have the same career field as you. That's what I did and got Yokota.


  2. Clerical will get you stationed just about anywhere.  Just make sure you put it on your dream sheet and remember that if you volunteer for ANY base outside of CONUS than the Air Force will consider you for any/all bases overseas before considering you for a stateside assignment.
