What jobs make you financially secure and free?

Sorry kid, there's no job that can offer you freedom and security, only you can do that.

Start in what you are good or what you like. Try something new. How about opening your own company.

Anyway, there's a good book you should read. It will help you a bit: Rich dad, Poor dad.

Being a great trader is the closest to having absolute freedom and being very well off financially. Sadly the people that can do this on a scale to support themselves full time are very few.

There are 2 parts to this question:

1. What career:

You can be successful in any business or occupation. You need to be clear on what you want to do and what makes you excited to getr up in the morning. If you are NOT clear you are penalized twice a) You will dislike what you do and as a result you will not excell b) You will not get paid well.

2. Financially secure:

What is financial security? Is financial security $100 or $100 million? I know people who are happy with earning $1200 a month and others who could not live with less than $60 000 a month? You need to define what financial security is for you. Imagine you were 80 years old, what would you have like to be, do and have in your life. Put money, time and EGO aside and decide what you want. Write down everything in explicit detail. Create a plan with all the known steps you know to get to your new destination. As you progress to each new step update your plan with your new findings and update the steps.

If you decide on a career that does not pay enough to be, do and have what you have set out, there are other ways of getting additional money to support your lifestyle. The opportunities are endless.
