  5. Frank Hayes in 1923. He died of a heart attack during the race and was slumped over on a horse named Sweet Kiss as it crossed the finish line at Belmont Park.

  6. It was in "Seabiscuit-An American Legend" His name was Ralph Neves. He was riding a filly at Bay Meadows Racecourse in 1936 and she suddenly broke down. Neves was trampled and he "died". He was not breathing and track physicians announced him dead on the track. So they took him to the track infirmary and somehow the track doctor injected his heart with adreline and Ralph woke up. Everyone was stunned. So they took him to a hospital, and he got away from the hospital staff, and jumped into a taxi. He went back to Bay Meadows and rode in races, finishing second or third on all of his five mounts.
