  1. Your board should come up to you chin to your nose in length standing on end. I'm thinking your would be better off being your 5'2. I'm 5'6 and i have a 158cm board. Ha, i hear you on price. If your mom is paying for it, try to chip in on the cost, i have trouble finding a cheap board. The kandi is a good choice for you. they have them in 129.134,137, and 141cm. If cost is a issue with that kind, you can go to rental shops and buy boards that were rentals lst season. So if you go and ask for that certain board you could sell you that for less.

But, good luck, keep shreading the mountains, babe ; )

  2. Hey there. The Kandi is a great board, but it is a youth board. It is made for the pre-teen agegroup and depending on your age, you could grow out of it quickly. I would probably recommend the Rossignol Reserve in a 143: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/Rossignol... This board is very easy to ride and should last you plenty of seasons.

As far as sizing goes, it is a combination of your weight and riding ability or riding preference.  Your height does play a minor role, but not enough to base your the size completely off of. For you, it seems like you will be best suited between a 140-145. With a smaller size you will have more control and stability at lower speeds, with a longer snowboard you will have a little more stability at a higher speed. Also you will want to stick with a women's specific snowboard, they are designed for women and will enable you to progress your riding skills quite a bit easier than a unisex or mens snowboard.

  3. i agree ^ burton clash

theyre pretty forgiving on the slopes and actually considerably lightweight haha

    go for about a 143 :)

  4. The clash might be a bit wide on the waist width, since it is a men's board, and they tend to be wider. I think you would like the women's counterpart better, the Feather. However, be open to all brands. Burton, K2, Ride, Rome, Rossignol, Forum, and Flow are all good brands.

For size, I'd suggest 143 as well. It will be a good all around board for you. Good luck! :)

  5. if I were you I would get a burton clash its a great cheap beginner board
