  2. I dont know all the details. But Im in Meteorology.. and we discussed this.

    After Sunset... the Earth had already absorbed the Sun's heat energy... At night, the Earth slowly releases it.. keeping a fairly cool atmosphere. But what keeps the warm rising air in our Earth is the clouds and sky. If you read a thermometer on a clear sky night, it will be colder than if you were to read a thermometer on a cloudy night. Because the clouds are able to hold more heat in our atmosphere.

    Im sure if you google your question and do a little research, you'd get more technical terms and the exact ways. I just gave u the dummy-proof version I know.
