  1. You could get a valid answer to your question by calling up a few Daty Cares and asking what they pay and how much more do they pay for someone with the training you describe.

Sadly I fear you'll find the pay is rather poor, around here the very best daycare pays about twice the minimum wage, or around >$10/hr.

Consult the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Using that gov't produced resource you can look up daycare as well as every other type of job, wages, conditions, pay etc.

  2. Greatly depends on where you live!

  3. 22,000 a year.

  4. about £1400 per year up to £2500 when experienced good luck.

  5. In Washington State, where  pay is probably higher that many other states, someone with an ECE degree will average between $10.50-$11.00 per hour.  In my experience, the highest paying jobs can be found in community college child development centers, military bases, and federally funded sources.  You may also qualify to be a head start teacher, if your state has such a program.  Then you can work for a school district, with benefits and all.  As far as corporate child care companies go, Bright Horizons is a great company and has relatively high pay, but steer clear of KinderCare.  I used to be a director so I know!  It's still a good degree to have because it can open doors.  Good luck!

  6. Not much. You need a full Bachelors in Education, preferably with some Masters-level work, in order to get the best jobs in your field. You might be able to find a job in the $30s, but that'll take some luck. You definitely won't be able to go higher than that.
