  1. ~~Get popcorn salt and spread over your carpet, then tap it in good with a stiff bristle broom. Leave for a week, and then when you vacuum you'll pick up the salt and dead fleas. Works like magic by dehydrating them. Safe for you and pets. It gets into the fibers so you wont even notice it's there. You can buy it in large boxes at restaurant supply stores like Smart N Final.~~ You may have to repeat once more if any eggs hatch.

  2. boric acid, there is a product out there made from boric acid called flea busters, its all natural, safe and non toxic, your sprinkle it onto carpet and furniture and rake it in with a thick broom, then it sits in the carpet and it last for about 9 months, an it will kill most carpet dwelling pests also treat your pets, i like tropiclean with neem, it is natural and it cleans well and kills the fleas, but be sure to keep it on for 5 min hope this helps~

  3. 1.  Treat all animals in the house with Frontline or something similar.

    2.  Sprinkle flea powder over entire carpet and get the corners as well.  Fleas like corners and also like to hide where the carpet meets the wall.  Let powder sit for 30 minutes. Vacuum your carpet very thoroughly and throw out bag outside.  Keep vacuuming daily for a few days to get any new ones.  Wash your sheets in HOT water.

  4. I heard about using table salt on here. I tried it, & it seemed to help. You just sprinkle table salt over the carpets & let it sit. I waited 2 days before I vacuumed. I also used Enforcer Flea Killer. It's a cinnamon scented powder that you sprinkle on like carpet fresh. Leave it for 2 hrs. You can't let pets on it till you vacuum it up, but it also seemed to work. You can get it in the pet aisle at walmart for around $4.00

  5. Oh my goodness, I know how you feel. I am going through the same thing. I tried the salt thing, but I didn't leave it on long enough and it didn't help much...so do like some of the others said and leave it on for a long time. Also some other tips I have seen is to (if you have a steam cleaner) wash your carpet with Dawn Lemon scented dish soap. Fleas hate citrus...also wash your pets with it also. I am going to try this one tomorrow. I hope you get some more tips, I am in need as well.
