What kind and brand of pool cue should i buy?

ive been playing pool for a while, but everywhere i go play, they have bad cues, and it feels different, so i thought i should get my own lol. umm im not a starter, and i practice almost everyday and getting better. but since i never watch billiard, i dont know what brand and what kind of pool cue is good? so if u could name a few brands, and some good kinds, itd be great. and umm i dont want something like soo expensive, or so cheap like 20 bucks from wal mart. and id like something with a case. thanks, oh and btw, could some1 tell me if this 1 is any good : http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-sports-bikes-Brand-new-2-piece-pool-cue-with-case-W0QQAdIdZ42882795 thx for ur help again

  1. Having your own cue is the way to go.  Most house cues are not very good.  Instead of buying one online go to a billiard supply store and try some out there.  You will see the variety and prices they have and also get a chance to see how it feels when you hold it.   A case for it is essential...you can get an inexpensive soft case or a more expensive hard case that holds two cues so you can keep your regular cue and a breaking cue you in there if ever get to the point you buy one of those too.

I would have to agree with the Vikings and McDermotts being best.  I prefer McDermotts because most of their cues have a wood to wood joint which promotes a softer hit.  I'm actually looking to buy either a McDermott Genesis M61C or a McDermott C261.  Most sites you buy from offer a soft case as a free gift.  Hope this helps.
