  1. You will probably feel a few bumps, you will have a funny feeling in your stomache and you may puke.

  2. There is a lot to expect when you are riding an airplane. Assuming you are going to a large airport with a lot of people there, then do this...

Get to the Airport itself 2-3 hours before the plane takes off. This will let you have enough time to get through security, get breakfast, lunch or dinner, and get your tickets if you bought them online.

When on the airplane, I suggest that you bring a small lunch, dinner or whatever and/or some snacks. If you are flying for under 3 hours, the airline will only serve drinks. If you will be flying for more than that time, they probably will serve food, but it is not very satisfying, unless in first class.

Also, when flying, if you are going through the international date line, or have trouble with motion sickness, you may want your doctor to prescribe Jet Lag Pills. These are designed to help you relax, and to help your body get used to the time change. They also help with motion sickness.

If you just have problems with motion sickness, get a pressure point wristband. They are sold in most drugstores, and put pressure on a point on your wrist, which stops you from barfing.

Some airports have DVD player rental systems. These are places where you can rent a portable DVD system and movies, and just drop it off at you destination. Call your airport you will be picking up and dropping off so you will be able to plan ahead of time.

Bring a small pillow and wear comfortable clothes. Though, if  there are first class openings, dressing in jeans will not get you in. Consider bringing an iPod or another portable system. Bring lots of water, too. You can easily get dehydrated when on a plane.

Try to get a window seat if you want to look outside or if you plan to sleep. Get an aisle seat if you want more leg room.

When you are at your destination, use the restroom, even if you don't have to go. You will soon find that water can travel quickly! After you have gone, call whoever will be picking you up or a taxi. Immediately head to get your luggage. When you are packing your luggage, tie a lot of colorful ribbons all around the outside. Sure, it will look silly, but you will know which is yours. Put an ID card inside your luggage for in case it gets lost, they know who to call.

I hope that all of this helps you on your trip!!

    Good Luck!!!

  3. Boredom.... Bring music because if your like me i cant sleep on them.

  4. They serve pretzels for food (at best) Be there 1.5 hours before, no liquids in your carry-on, the bathrooms are too small for s*x.

  5. i would say u should be there 1.5 to 2 hours before te flight leaves

and food - not great, but maybe that's becuase im a veggie and they dont have many veggie options

they served food very often and snacks often as well, ull never be hungry

take sum candy w/ u and eat it on the plane. it prevents ur ears from blocking and u feeling dizzy or heavy in the head

    and have a great flight!!

  6. well i personally love flying=]

they suggest you get there 1-2 hours before you board, so you can check in your luggage and get situated.

try to pack your luggage around 50 pounds.  and your allowed one carryon, but while going through security, they should have items on a table that you are not allowed to bring onto the flight in the carryon , such as perfume [as long as its over 2oz.], water or any liquids.  they will ask you to put all your medications into a ziploc bag, and be sure to have a valid ID. =]

if you have time, i suggest you purchase some snacks at one of the food courts.  fruit bowls work best, but be careful where you place it because it can leak.

you will probably have to wait a while before boarding, so go ahead and look at the stores, but pay attention to the time because they usually start boarding an hour before take off.

depedending on the length of the flight and the time [day or night], you may not get food at all.  which is where the fruit comes in handy =]

during lift off, you want to stay fastened, and turn off all electonics [including phones]. your ears may pop, so you may want to pack gum.  it'll be a little rocky and may shake due to turbulance, but thats okay... its normal so dont be alarmed.

they serve drinks regularly, and may give you cookies for a snack, and about 20-30 minutes after the plane takes off they'll start a movie, and come around so you can purchase earphones to listen with.  [if they ask you if you want a pillow, take it because its hard to get them after that].  because the flight may be boring, you might want to bring a cdplayer or magazine.

[i suggest getting a window seat so you can have a view to look at... if flying at night, the city lights are absolutely gorgeous =]]

  7. -You need to be at the airport 2 hours before.

-Food is usually chicken or something like that.

It'll be pretty borin the flight so take a magazine,a book or a ds or something.  Oh and wear something comfortable for the journey.  And take like a travel pillow so you can have a little sleep on the plane. (:

  8. Regular flights don't serve food. They give you drinks. That's about it. Be ready for a exhilarating take off and a not so fun landing.

If your going across seas, [ex American to Europe]

    unless your flying first class

be ready for not so much leg room.

  9. i took one on tuesday this week to minnasota & the first plane was HORRIBLE it was so bumpy on the first plane there i had a bad head ache but they don't serve you food on the plane just a drink like water or a soda you have to buy the food so bring snacks or candy to eat on the way.as for entertainment i brought my laptop so bring music like ipod, mp3,some cds & a cd player,a book to read, or nap but bring head phones for the tv or for your music i don;t watch  or listen to the tv boring stuff get there like 2 hours early. enjoy your flight!

  10. depending on how long the plane is I would bring music, books, magazines, etc.  They say you are supposed to be at the airport 2 hours before your plane but I get bored and have no patience to wait that long sooo I would say get there about an hour or hour and a half before your flight.  Its pretty self explanatory so dont be worried...

  11. if you go hi up, your ears pop like crazy! chew lots of gum if this happens. It hurts a lot. get there 1-3 hours in advance

  12. Depends on how far you are going with the food, generally they serve peanuts and crackers

  13. I love flying. I'm sure you will too. Have fun.

  14. greta experience. depends what airline serves what food. about and hour before take off.

  15. Before you leave home, get information on where you will be staying on your trip - address, phone number - make copies and put this information along with your name in each piece of checked baggage and keep a copy on yourself in case your luggage gets lost. Do the same for the return trip. Also, do not pack anything that you will need (medications, contact lens stuff, etc) in your checked bags. Put this in your carry-on. You are usually allowed to bring 2 suitcases that weigh no more than 50lbs (23kg) each, plus one carry-on per passenger. All airline rules differ on this, so you need to verify this with your specific airline.

When packing your carry-on bag, make sure that you have all your documents with you (picture ID, ticket, passport). The key to packing a carry-on is to pack light; think less is more. When packing, make sure that you are not taking any forbidden items with you and that all liquids are in containers less that 3oz (100ml) and in a one clear zip-top bag no bigger than 1 quart (1 liter).

Snacks are allowed. Just add water packets of food, cheerios, goldfish, animal crackers, dried fruit, etc. are great. New regulations also allow you to take beverages (including water) from home as long as they are less than 3oz (100ml), -OR- beverages (including water) of any size that you have purchased from inside the security area onto planes. You can also bring a limited amount of baby food, yogurt, cheese, puddings, etc. with you also as long as they are in containers less than 3oz (100ml) http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p...

Make sure you get to the airport with plenty of time to check in, go through security, and find your concourse and gate. Rule of thumb is to allow yourself 2-5 hours before your flight. It is always a good idea to call the airport ahead of schedule to see what their wait time for security is for that specific day. Be prepared to do a lot of waiting - in line at the ticket counter, in the security line, in the terminal - you will wait. As long as you know you have given yourself plenty of time though, you shouldn’t panic, and can relax (as much as possible).

I found that the easiest way to navigate the airport is to go directly to the ticket counter and check my bags and get my boarding pass. When the ticket agent presents you with your boarding pass, you will also be given you claim ticket for your bags. Keep this is a safe place and do NOT lose it – if anything should happen to your bags, you will need it. All airports are clearly marked with plenty of signs designed to direct you in the right direction. If you are not sure of which way to go, look UP and there will be plenty of signs to guide you. Security isn't that bad. Wear slip on or other easily removable shoes, and have your coat or jacket off when you reach the front of the line. If you are bringing prescription medications, drinks for small children, or anything else that is over the 3oz (100ml) limit, do not forget to inform the security officer. These items must be outside of your bag, and must go on the conveyor belt in a separate bin from your other things. If you have nothing forbidden on or with you, you will speed through the process. Pay attention to the announcements. They may change your departure gate, or need you if there is a question with your ticket. Also, if the plane is overbooked, they will announce a request for volunteers to be bumped. If you volunteer, you will be put on the next flight and you usually get a free round-trip ticket to use in the future, or some other form of compensation. Be sure to find out what the incentives are before agreeing to give up your seat, and don’t be afraid to ask for what you want – the worst they can say is no. They also use announcements to board the plane. Most airlines will seat you by row or "zone" - this will be printed on your boarding pass. When they call out your row or zone, you may board the plane. If you are seated in an exit row, make sure that you are able to do the things that would be required of you: being able to lift a certain weight (if you have to open the window exits, they are generally about 65 pounds - 29kg), being able to hear and see commands from the flight crew, etc.

    Now for your flight itself!

When you taxi the cabin crew will tell you all you need to know about what to do in case of emergencies and such. They will do a demonstration or show a video of where the exits are, how to fasten your seatbelt, when portable electronics can and can't be used, etc. All the instructions the flight crew will give you are all on the safety card which is in the pouch on the back of the seat in front of you. The captain will come on and give a little speech about the flight and what to expect - something about how long it will take until you take-off, what to expect weather wise in your destination city, and how long the flight should take. Your ears might "pop" as you climb through the altitudes.

For take-offs and landings (the WHOLE way up, and starting from the BEGINNING, or TOP of descent), the best ways to alleviate ear pressure are to:

    *Chew gum

    *Drink something

*Suck on a hard candy or mints

    *Yawn

*Pinch the nostrils shut, take a deep breath in through the mouth, then force the air into the back of the nose as if trying to blow your nose

*Place hot damp towels (usually like the ones distributed to first and business class before take-off and landing to freshen up with - just ask a flight attendant for them) or paper towels that have been soaked in hot water and wrung out at the bottom of two paper or styrofoam cups, then hold the cups over the ears.

*Another trick that used mainly on babies and small children, but can be used on anyone, is to gently but with some pressure, rub your neck repeatedly from the chin to the base of the neck. This will cause a swallowing motion that will relieve pressure build-up in the ears.

    To entertain yourself:

*Read a book, magazine, the paper, or do a puzzle (such as crosswords or Sodoku if you like those).

*Listen to music using an iPod, MP3 player, or CD player.

*A laptop is good to have as you can play games on it, and get any work done that you may have, or watch DVDs.

*Try talking to the people next to you. Sometime you will meet some really interesting people, and forge friends

When you are approaching landing, your ears again might "pop" as you descend through the altitudes (remember the techniques above to help alleviate the pressure).

When you land at your final destination, simply go to baggage claim and get your bags. If anyone is meeting you at the airport, this is usually where they will pick you up.

  16. Expect to be annoyed with the people on the airplane.

Expect the flight attendants to be rude.

Expect the food to be cold and disgusting.

Expect the person behind you to kick the back of your seat the entire flight.

Expect the pilots to crack stupid jokes and tell you how the weather is.

    Expect the bathroom to wreak.

    Expect nothing.......it's better that way.

  17. i think they serve british food but u should bring a sandwich incase its not good.get a window seat so u can listen to ur ipot and watch clouds.bring something for entertainment.oh and u should get there at least 30 min bfore time.

  18. be at airport 1.5-2 hours before take off, if security is long you will wont miss your plane, what they serve on a plane is different cant really tell you that one, then they always serve snacks during the flight, pretzels crackers or something like that, taking of will leave an empty feeling in your stomach, if you have a week stomach its possible you will throw up, but i fly quite alot and i have never seen this happen, landing will be small jerks, wont hurt just shaking a little bit, if you hit turbulence while in flight it will shake a little bit, its normal and will stop soon after it starts, have fun and BRING SOMETHING TO DO on the plane, laptop/ hand held games or a book, also if its a longer flight stay up the night before so you can sleep on the plain with ease, enjoy your flight =)

  19. The food sucks, so bring snacks if u can, nd dont 4get gum 2 chew while going off ground and landing. Most people get there about an hour early, and it is really boring so bring iPod or MP3..

    Have fun on your trip!

  20. ride a plane? are you from mobile alabama and have featured in a kanye west song?

btw flying is ace just make sure you get a window seat then start really thinking about whats happening - ie a big chunk of metal is gonna go 150mph down a long strip of road then its gonna take off.  holy sheeeeeeeeeeet be sure to be under the influence of something too and its almost  a religious experience.  thats where the phrase to get high comes from.

  21. It should be fine. Chew gum when you are taking off so your ears dont pop. You porbably will hit turbulence, but dont worry because that is normal on a plane ride.

  22. Depending on how long your flight is, they may or may not serve food, I know on my 3hr flight to disney, they served snacks and drinks.

Take off and the landing aren't that great, it's not like they are horrible, but sometimes they can be bumpy, and just unpleasant, especially on the ears and stomach, I'd bring gum with for your ears popping, like mine, I had to chew gum through the whole thing.

You aren't allowed to have liquids on your carry on, I believe you can have food though, so after you go through security , you can buy snacks and put them on your carry on.

You should be there 2-3 hours, or that's what I was told, that way you can go through security, depending on how busy it is, it'll take a quick time or a long time.

If you get bored on the plane, bring something with, you can bring your computer, your ipod, a book, some magazines, sudoku, anything. (:

When going through security, you'll have to take off your shoes, put all your stuff in a tub type thing, put those on the conver belt, take the computer out of it's case, all that good stuff.

Overall flying isn't terrible, turbulance and junk isn't fun, but the actual plane ride isn't so bad. Remember just to relax, it's not that big of a deal, you aren't going to crash on an stranded island like the people in lost. :]

    Hope this helps.

  23. ever heard of a surprise????wait till you get there-then find out--experience the moment--that's what life should be like--not planning all the time--if you get there and can't cope on the day--well---maybe you'd fail in an emergency--try it-stop being a sheep,be a farmer

  24. If it's a short internation flight like in America, no hassle just bring some music, books, basically intertainment. They serve only soda and drinks, unless it's longer they do have snack boxes. The food is sub-par to bad, but if you're riding first or buisness it's decently good.

On the other-hand if you're flying to another country and the trip takes say around 8-15 hours you will be served one-two meals that are alright, in my opinion, drinks and snacks at intervals. They have music and movies, I just got to China on Delta and they now have your own little TV on the headset in front of you with games, music, TV shows, HBO (pay to view), and recent movies. If you're flying another airline it should be relatively the same.

Most importantly what ever way you're flying be prepared to be tired and pooped after it. Brush your teeth and put on some lotion before you get on, the air inside the airplane is really crappy. Also, when you're packing the standard weight for a luggage you send in is 50lbs, each person can carry one carry-on luggage, no liquids in your carry-on (unless they're in a bag, forgot size), and be sure to sleep on the ride it helps the time pass.

Hope my answer helps and best of luck on your trip, don't forget to chew some gum while lift-off because if you haven't been on flights before it'll probably pop your ears. Have fun!

  25. For flights in the US you can expect to get some peanuts and a small cup of soda onboard for free, i think you can buy more if you want. International flights will typically serve you a  meal. if your flying red eye you get two, although the breakfast is pretty small. The lines get pretty long for security especially in major airports like Chicago O' Hare, so i'd be there about two hours ahead for US and three + for international just to be sure. Take some intertainment for the flight. Ipod, etc. International flights usually have small tv's with movies and stuff, as long as the plane isn't really old. Check seatguru.com they'll tell you meals and entertainment included with the flight.

Oh and you can take three bottles containing three ounces in a one quart bag. Medication can be taken on as long as you have it in the prescription bottle. Security has you take off soes. No big deal. Take off and landings are bumpy and you might need something to chew on to pop your ears.
