What kind o f bike?

Where can I get an inexpensive commuter bike for men. Kinda like the Trek Portland. I just dont want to pay 1600 for it.

I've had a Trek Soho 1.0 for a month now and I love it. It's rather light, got nice good disk brakes and the large small 700c wheels are fast and work well in the city. I paid $750 CND. I commute to work and I often pull a trailer as well (Cargo Croozer).

I had Del Sol hybrid bike before which was good but more sluggish and heavier.

I have a Trek 7.2 and its pretty good. I like the mtn bike style handlebars so I sit more upright. I think for the price of 600 its a good choice. I had sticker shock when I went to buy but each manufacture has good bikes in the 5-700 range. I too thought I was going to have to pay over 1200 at first.
