i have a JL Audio 12" sub. 1000 watt peak power and 300 RMS. how much watts of an amp do i need to power this?

TRY GETTING A 1700 WATT AMP

if thats your exact setup it says 500w rms. so you need an amp pushing 500w x 1 @4ohms.
